Tomb has the best pig in farmer school here in Norway. i worked there with Alexander. he is the responsable of the pig houses. During my stay at tomb, i really focused on pig production. In this pig house, there are three houses, first house, the saw, then saw and piglets and the other young pig, with the futur saw.
i worked in all of those places. the main work was cleaning and giving food. And when there is special case, like encimination, i go there and assist with my team mate.

the big differences between Malagasy pig production and the Norwegian pig production are the uses of high technologie like the way of giving food.

Machin food

At Tomb, they use machin to give food but in Madagascar we uses hand for everything. And we still use some natural food for the pig.
one of the big difference as well is the weather. Norway is so cold country, that they have to elevate the pig inside houses, but in Madagascar, most of the time we do it in pigpen. and The pigs stay dry, the boxes will have a slope to the draining of urine into the gutter: 0.05 per meter. Slope gutters 1 to 2 per 100.and the pigpen is more open because Madagascar is really warm country.
it might be that the weather, and house are different. but the way of elevate is the same

ps: i will try to find out a pigpen in Madagascar and i will be publish it soon! :)

It started with preparation with Astrid Family at HOF in their farm during 4 days. It was Cold around - 15 of - 20 degrees. i felt in float during this time because i felt like at home even it was so cold. During those day, i played spark with the nice and the children of Astrid. this was a good way to start skying.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2StAN0Wf4UeUdawac1PMINo4lhBSaV0IkJQhQzxhFSMsm1tEZ36c4cfbsmll5wQ1R5zQOD-RiRHmMhhR0Rdo1dlIoZyGwylGGApZ9Tw_MoHgZUcCvYnq98vEzxQRwCRPzMYv6cxOUFPA/s320/jul+og+nyt%C3%A5r+2009+-+2010+200.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5429120773541032930" />
then, we played hay in the hay house, so fun. and the third day, we have made julekaker for the family. i think i lived the norwegian tradition christmas this year.
the sad day, the 23th of december, me and marinette and mirana, we left HOF to STOKKE. First experience with the bus, 4 hours from Kongersvinge to Tønsberg, pass by Oslo.
Arrive at Tønsberg, we went to Stokke to stay tow days, we stayed there during the Juleaften, christmas eve.

JULEAFTEN I NORGE

it is the 24th of december, i went to church with my host family and my teammate. it was 1 hour church, and it was the first time that i have seen church full in norway. then, we had big meal, the norwegian traditional foods: Ribe, pinkjøt,julekaker. And after we opened the gift but before, we had turned around the juletre! and, when it finished, we played together, and eat some dessert together. and we walked out, after i think we slept at midnight! i really lived the norwegian Christmas last year!
<img style="float:right; The World "Culture Chock" was really famous because all most everything things makes you choked. The first culture chock that i had was the food, the main food in Norway is Bread. so we eat bread all day, then it is so difficult to just change suddenly but thanks to the moments at hald we get used to it. But now, i am really get used to eat bread sure somethimes i miss rice. After tow months of studying and learning, we moved to the first practical place, Gjennestad, one week break with the boy team then we started to worked. it was little bit diffictult to get in contact with the students because we were new people from other country and just come in their world .that`s why, the first day was little bit difficult actually, i can understand them it is something natural i think. After some days, it is getting better and better. still, the world culture chock is there. after the cultur chock, some chalenges, the biggest challenge is the language, all the team speak english but not norwegian, so it is make the interaction with the student difficult. anyway, some of them try to interact with us.
During those one month and half here, in Gjennestad, i have learn many things about the agriculture system and technical use here. My stay in gjennestad helped me to know many technics and system that we can try to do in Madagascar.
